Con#1 This is not good looking#2 I still dont know what to do with the big hair - mic thing they've sent#3 With my Sony ZV Ev1 this sits on top but it makes the front a little top heavy and does not remain still always and adds bulk#4 the cloth covering the mic itself is a little thinner than it should bePros#1 Been using for 2-3 months and the battery from day 1 is still going (AAA single)#2 Good options. I suggest you keep both options on.#3 If you keep only the top plug on but dont go for the lower notch +- 10db you will notice the hum of the mic so strongly recommend you use both the things.#4 Good value for the price. Audio is very important and the isolation is good.Why 3 stars?This is not the next level I imagine 10,000-20,000 mics to be.

I see however that Comica raised the price since I purchased but still worth it. I create professional videos and I had purchased Rode and others at over three hundred dollars but in the end stuck with this one after testing many factors which is too long for a review. However, it comes down to this; your microphone is only as good as your equipment.People forget many factors like the camera processing the sound. First it's best to use a preamp for several reasons and it just so happens Comica makes a great preamp as well. You can get both this microphone and their preamp for less than the price of a Rode. Let the preamp do the work and reduce the camera mic to around 3. If you find the microphone is not loud enough, cramp up the preamp.Also the sound quality is clear and battery life is truly excellent. For the money and quality I am getting out of this I am amazed and it has a range of 70Hz to 16KHz. If you find you don't have enough bass you can always add some in post but in my case I have a voice that often time has too much bass that I have to remove in post so I found this to be perfect and not having to remove any.Great quality and price and comes with an good quality windscreen. Yes it has a bit of a cheap plastic feel to it but I've been using it for six months now with no issues but taking off one star for construction quality. I would purchase again.
