A very encouraging book for any young reader but especially those who struggle to read.
This is a very encouraging book for any young reader, but especially those who struggle to read. The author has added many tips and conversation starters for parents to help their young readers. So it is not just a book to help young readers who are struggling with reading but a valuable resource and teaching too.I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to encourage their young children or students in how each of us is given a different set of strengths and abilities and even if we struggle in a particular area that does not mean we are not as important or as valuable as others.

A sweet, encouraging, relatable book for my struggling reader
My daughter has always struggled with reading and, although she has never been tested, she shows many signs of dyslexia. We both LOVED this book! My daughter could really relate to Meg’s love of Legos and painting, and also her fear of books with too many pages or too many words on a page. I really appreciated all the tips for parents, like having her start her school day with reading before she’s tired rather than putting it off till the end because it’s her least favorite subject. There’s a whole section at the end of the book with several helpful suggestions for parents and a section of “Conversation Starters” to help remind them how MAGNIFICENT they are!The illustrations are beautiful and the bold, san serif print made it easier for my daughter to read. I loved the words of encouragement throughout the book and how the author ends the book by reminding the reader, “I am a super kid. AND SO ARE YOU!” Kids that struggle to read can get really discouraged and struggle with their self-esteem, and I loved watching my daughter’s face light up as she read that last sentence. This book is a must-have for any struggling reader!

very encouraging for struggling readers
The tone of this book is so positive and hopeful. I found myself rooting for Magnificent Meg to follow her dreams and take on the obstacles - just keep on keeping on, Meg. With the author's background, it's easy to see she has embedded her teaching experience and wisdom into the story. I also can tell how much she cares about children and how she wants every child to succeed and believe in himself or herself, just like Meg. I hope the book makes a difference in many, many children's lives.

What an uplifting story!
The title says it all. The book is encouraging as well as detailed in it's explanations of a child experiencing dyslexia. . Any child will be encouraged after reading it. The guide for parents is also an added plus to the book. I'm looking forward to the next book:)

Great inspiring book about learning differences
My 7 year daughter loves this book. I read it aloud to her. It helped her when she got diagnosed and needed to understand dyslexia more. It inspired her to focus on her special talents and gave her great tips about her learning differences.

Delightful and Important Story
I purchased Magnificant Meg to read to my 15-year old who has dyslexia. When she was a child, there were not many children's books about young girls like her. We had a sweet time as she read Magnificent Meg to me. Thanks for writing a book of encouragement that also challenges our children to press on through their struggles!
