Exam Ref AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Technologies

Less than a year after being published and this book is already out of date. Case in point: The book claims, "Group membership for security groups must be assigned and is not dynamic."Microsoft own documentation conflicts with this: "You can set up a rule for dynamic membership on security groups or Microsoft 365 groups."To be fair, Azure is changing so quickly I can hardly blame the authors for these types of errors. I'm sure there is still plenty of good info. For someone studying for the exam, it's obvious that the book cannot be relied upon to have current information. I don't have time to validate every thing written in the book is still relevant. Perhaps a revised edition will resolve that. Until then, go by the Microsoft documentation and not dead trees.

This book is a complete waste of money. If you want a book that a small and makes you feel good that you got through it quickly, then this is the book for you. But if you want a book that covers the material then this is not it. But if you want a book that covers the material this is not it. After taking the test and reviewing practice test questions, this book barely scratches the surface on what you need to pass this exam. Most sections in the book are small and will reference the Microsoft documentation for the details. Unfortunately those details are what you get tested on, you might as well read the documentation.

The media could not be loaded.  Kinda expect the pages to be visThis book is badly printed, text and picutres are not square in the margins making reading unpleasurable.Moreover, the content is total garbage. You get a paragraph birefly explaining what the next 5 pages of screenshots are with little to no detail on the subject what so ever.Example: here's HOW you set up MFA with 5 pages of screenshots (click here, then here etc) but not WHY you'd set up MFA or what the exam questions are looking for as far as answers.The Microsoft Learning pages are far more useful - and FREEThis book (and others in the series are shamless cash grabs) ....
