We had new turf laid into our garden and were told we needed to stay off it for several weeks to let it settle, but it would require watering a couple of times a day through the summer.I wasn't really sure what the best sprinkler option was, having never had to tend to a lawn before. There seem to be various different types, but I felt a traditional oscillating sprinkler best suited the lawn area we have - it's essentially a 10x10m square of lawn. So ideally I needed a sprinkler I could throw in the middle to water.Gardena are a brand I've used many times lately, having centered most of my garden water needs around their products. They're pricier than some rivals, but I find that they're worth the extra money normally, especially if you wait for a sale price. I bought this item at around £30.The construction feels like heavy duty plastic. With the exception of the metal rods in the base, which I believe are for the axis/to rotate. There are a couple of dials to adjust the water streams and direction. The first one adjusts the "throw" which can increase the distance from 3-15m, and then there are dials to change the spread. You can do this on either end of the sprinkler so if you, for example, wanted to avoid the garden shed you could adjust the dial to stop short and open the other side up to go further. It's pretty effective. I tend to set mine up in the centre of the lawn and then adjust it to stop short of the patio on one end, and go full spread on the other. In terms of height I've set it to cover maximum distance without going over the neighbours fence!I think the quality is there for the money. I used it throughout the initial month of settling the lawn and it did a great job. I have since used it periodically during the hot spells in the summer.It's simple to hook up to the hose and place down where you need it. The controls are basic but effective. The water inlet has a built in rust resistant filter to prevent dirt or limescale getting into the sprinkler. This can be removed and washed out.It's worth noting that this is the smaller of three that Gardena sell. It'll cover up to 150m², the next one 250m² and the large does up to 350m² - so there are options available using the same tech - the throw and reach increases with the sizes.Overall good value, effective and feels like will last as long as I need it to. Easy recommendation from me.

The spray range on this is really good - I love the design as you can easily adjust the range in height and width. Worked well in our garden all summer. Really easy to fit onto a standard hose pipe. Good value for money too

Works fine, I think our water pressure is too low though.

Covers a huge distance, and key feature is having the range control, so not just the swing distance as it oscillates back and forth, but also the ability to fine tune the range left and right independently. Saves me blasting water where I don't want it. Also comes with a built in filter. Top notch product, way better than the basic ones.

This sprayer works quite well but is a little flimsy

Build quality and great flexibility in settings to adjust depth and spread of the water distribution. The sprinkler can be set easily to water any shape or size of lawn or other selected areas.

I liked the way this worked, and finally decided to purchase a second one. I've purchased cheaper brands and models that didn't last as long as the first one, so I can endorse this from a quality standpoint as well as coverage.

The item and the box both arrived damaged. This is totally the gardena store’s fault for not packing the product properly and using the worst shipper in Canada, which is Canada Post.

Cheaply made, very light and narrow. Whereas others have a much better foot print this one is so narrow it makes it difficult to place on the ground and aim it where you want it to sprinkler.

Not even close to covering 110-250 m2. It covers about 50 m2.

5his is a great sprinkler for smaller areas. I'm docking one star because the base is very flimsy.
