Another swashbuckling Dirk Pitt adventure!
If you like James Bond or Indiana Jones adventure, you will enjoy Dirk Pitt as well. This book just like his previous ones, kept me entertained throughout. Cussler always presents more problems for Dirk, probably way too many for one person in one story. Hey, that's what keeps the book going. I quite liked this book and I feel this is among one of his better novels. This book was written & first published in the early 1980's, so keep that in mind that the storyline fits that era. Overall. another great Dirk Pitt adventure !

Anoither great Clive Cussler effort
I lost my original copy, so I bought this one to replace it. Wouldn't you know that the original finally showed up. Still, it's such a great story, it was worth buying a second copy. Cussler is a master of the art of writing great suspense and action stories. His villains are really evil and need killing. A great story with great characters. Much better than Tom Clancy's overdone and boring stories.

Cussler really knows how to keep your attention.
I just wish he knew the difference between a magazine and a clip. They are not interchangeable.

Dirk Pitt to the rescue.. again and it's fun to read too.
Perfect for diversion and entertainment. This is high adventure / good guy vs bad guy literature. It is not Pulitzer material; it is fun and easy to read and reflects a dry wit, deep intelligence and incredibly eclectic knowledge of the author of numerous and diverse obscure points.

Current on politics of the time period.
The characters of Dirk Pitt, et al are rich in personality while grounded in fantastic tales of mystery and suspense.

Beware of the small font.
As pulp fiction you can’t get better than Clive Cussler. This yarn goes along at a great pace as you would expect from Cussler, a great read only hampered by the small font which given its 500 pages long is vey tiresome. Interestingly the font size used by the publisher is not mentioned in the description yet it does have a significant impact on the reading experience.
