Really good but also pricey
I needed something stable and fillable for Neumann KH120a monitors. I think the stands are great. Totally stable and they even look cool. I filled them with baked playground sand (fyi it made the place kinda smelly for a few days) and there's no ringing at all. I like how they have the different chambers inside. I wish they were adjustable but they happen to be at the perfect height for me in a mixing situation, which is how I use them. The speakers sound fantastic on them and I was really surprised at the amount of improvement. Some cons:I don't think a 2nd set of stands would fit right next to these (like for a 2nd set of monitors), the legs would get in each other's way but I could be wrong. Also the tops are kinda small. It's fine for a KH120a but for instance a Presonus Eris E8 XT or Yamaha HS8 might be too big for the top platform. And that's a shame because I think the stands could handle those speakers just fine otherwise. Also the way the feet are means I can't get the back of the speaker as close to the wall as I'd like. I suspect it'd lose stability if the design were different so I'm ok with it.Overall, if I had the bucks and needed another set of stands I'd likely get these again.

Extremely high quality at a fair price!
These stands were recommended to me by an audio equipment and speaker manufacturer (Emotiva) as what they use in their sound room. While they are expensive, I have never seen a better engineered and made pair of satellite or bookshelf speaker stands. As a former “high-end” audio sales person, I have seen and sold a number of types of speaker stands over the years…some good and some not so good. These stands are beautifully made, and have precisely machined bolt holes that make assembly a breeze as long as you leave the bolts slightly loose and fit everything together before final tightening. Standard carpet spikes (a MUST if you have carpet) can also be covered with plastic caps if you don’t wish to use the spikes, although they definitely make the stands more stable… There are also a couple of internal channels in the main stand column, one of which can be filled with shot or sand to increase the mass, while the other can be used to run cabling up to the speakers so that it is invisible… Great design and engineering! I can detect no resonance whatsoever and my speakers stay put on the top of the stands..The double boxed packaging is also impressive, with everything packed in protective plastic and all major parts zip tied to a cardboard backing so things do not shift around in the box and hit each other during transit, all the way from China. Everything arrived in pristine condition and there were no missing parts. These are fairly contemporary looking so they may not fit into every decor. My wife is not too crazy about the look but I bought them for sound quality and not for the styling (hehe) so if you want some thing that is more invisible you may want to look elsewhere. But you certainly won’t find stands that are better made. While some may find it hard to call these a “good value” at over $2XX per pair, this really is the case…you won’t get better for less money! I am very satisfied and highly recommend these satellite speaker stands!

Sturdy with quality materials but came unfinished
These are made from quality materials and sit flat on my wood floor. The Yamaha HS8 studio monitors fit well on top of them. The rubber isolators on tops of each stand can be easily removed, if you would prefer to use something like Auralex MoPad foam, but you would probably want to use a layer of adhesive foam on top of the stand first because the surfaces are slick/smooth.There are two exposed channels, and one sealed channel, running the length of each stand. I was able to easily snake an XLR cable through one channel and a standard studio monitor power cable through the other. The sealed channel will easily hold sand without it leaking out of the bottom.Taking a star off because one end of one of the aluminum posts came without threads in all four screw holes. I am sure Amazon would have accepted it for an exchange but that is very wasteful when I can just fix it myself. Considering how expensive they are, you'd expect they give each stand a once-over before putting them in the box, but nobody else in the reviews has complained about encountering this same problem. I tapped the holes with a metric 6 mm - 1.00 tap and everything fit together nicely. The picture shows the post halfway through the process of tapping the holes with the bottom-most hole in the photo still untapped.

Very solid build, works great for me
I'll start this off by saying the 3 legs make me a little nervous, especially considering my new room has a slightly sloped floor, although I could alleviate it by placing sand inside the center of the stands. I would assume the 3 legs is to make it easier to place the stand whichever angle you'd like, though I'd still prefer a 4th leg. These are quite heavy in their own right, but I imagine they'd be even more so if you fill them with sand to make them more sturdy--they're already rather study to begin with. The rubber isolation pads on the top can easily be removed, they just pop out of their sockets. I mention this because of their size and shape, they might not be adequate for the way you rest your monitors on them, in which case pulling them out then putting full size isolation pads on top would suffice. They're a little pricey, but because of the build quality and robustness I think I'll get my moneys worth for many years to come.

Ultimate stands are the best. Have owned the older types
Ultimate stands are the best. Have owned the older types, these new designs are very good. Lots of de-coupling for your speaker. 36inch is a perfect height for project studios, mixing environments etc. The 45 I would place more behine a console or mixing desk.

It looks as though the coating hasnt taken properly or is so thin its rubbed off so rather than a nice smooth finish the stands
Product arrived well packaged with no signs of damage. Unfortunately the finish on the stands is dreadful. It looks as though the coating hasnt taken properly or is so thin its rubbed off so rather than a nice smooth finish the stands have a patchy effect on them. For an expensive product I was expecting much better.

excellent speaker stands
excellent speaker stands, once filled with dry sand you can hear the audio separation and sturdy enough for adam a77x.

Truly excellent!
Best speaker stands I’ve found at this price but I would say they are even better than stands costing much more. These are truly excellent; all metal construction. Parts fit together perfectly. Very sturdy. Correct height. Cable management tube. Capable of internal media for added weight, quality rubber isolation pads and feet. Honestly, these are really impressive quality and look great too. Win!

Superb stands for that amount of money
First, they arrived three days earlier than expected. Nothing damaged, few tiny scratches on the paint but that to be expected. I am very impressed with the design. The top platform and the bottom tripod seat on rubber pads and are secured to the posts with very sturdy screws. When the screws are properly tightened, the stand is very stable but also feels like the monitors are seating on flexible pads. The monitor platform can handle anything, I am using it for A7X but it would fit much bigger and heavier. I wanted to replace the standard padds with sorbothane, no problem, they remove easily.I also bought the product knowing that I could remove the spikes, and that's why I take one star from the review.Four of six spikes unscrewed easily but two one in each tripod could only be removed using pliers and I after that there are some scratches on two spikes. Nothing critical but I hate that. Otherwise it is in my opinion the best quality monitor stands you can buy for this price
