You'll Have to Drill A Hole Larger
While I'm delighted to have purchased this product, as expected, I had to drill-out the existing hole wider that has a "standard", "typical" peephole already installed. It wasn't much, mind you, but I have a steel door.If someone has good quality cobalt drill bits, that's no problem. I had to use a 1/2" bit to route out the existing hole. If someone does not have a 1/2" bit, it will cost them a lot of money to buy the bit just to widen the hole for a $7 peephole....and if they don't have a drill, then that's an added expense, as well.But...because I have these tools, I was successful in installing this; just remember though that it's not going to be a simple replacement of a standard size to this one.
