Q: Re these shoes original or knock offs? I see same shoe for 99.00 why?

They are made of different materials now. The original ones were great, and lasted forever! These are lighter weight, but don’t last nearly as long. You can find them anywhere from 40-100 bucks. They’re all real. They’re just not as good as they used to be.

Q: ??? dc is now owned by boardriders(quicksilver) which may explain the quality

Im sure thats why quality has decreased then and sad to say bc these were a pillar of dc's that a more broad spectrum of folks could come to love the shoe/slipper which is why im sure dudes will surpass them quickly

If you're lucky they'll be counterfeit. Because the ones I bought directly from DC were total crap.

Q: Are these more like house slippers or shoes to go out in?

These are more like shoes to go out in but you can also use them to lounge too, although I would prefer some actual slippers for that.
