Intro to Music Lesson
Used this book to introduce children to a music lesson on volume. We began very softly, then increased the volume as the rain storm progressed. Then we turned it down as the storm subsided. We used rhythm instruments to make the rains storm and ended by playing the "rainbow" with a multicolored xylophone. We also used a thunder tube, a wave drum, rhythm sticks, a tone block, and sand blocks. Using each to add a little volume as the story went on. The children loved this experience and the book has become a favorite which they recall with fond memories of using and exploring the variety of instruments. Great Story!

Boom!
A must have if you have kids and live somewhere with big storms or monsoon rains.

Not printed correctly
Our book has pages printed upside down and a couple pages not bound. I bought it for our homeschool, so I didn’t read it until it was scheduled. I wish I would have seen it as soon as I received the book. 😑

an Illustrated life
Beautiful illustrations which is why I bought it.... as an artist myself, I just enjoy seeing superlative and innovative works that have been published in such lovely books. He's a very clever man James Endicott. If you are thinking of buying the book for a child, they'd really love it, it's a treasure, a visual delight.

Great book for preschoolers!
I love reading this book to my preschool classes, especially during the long rainy months. I love the meter of the words and the illustrations. Recommend!
