HogueS&W K or L Round Conversion Butt Pau Ferro Premium Wood Grips

I bought this grip for a 4 inch barreled 500 magnum. The x frames have the same grip dimensions as the k frames. The fit is ok, but not great. The backstrap of the frame doesn't quite line up with the grip, although it is not noticeable while shooting, and cosmetically not noticeable unless you are looking for it. There are also gaps rear of the trigger guard and at the tang below the hammer. Other reviews mentioned this, but it could also be because I installed the grips on an x frame.As far as comfort goes, they seem ok. I am one of those crazy people that finds the recoil of 500 mag pleasant to shoot. The stock grips definitely absorbe recoil better, but these grips don't make shooting painful or less controllable. On a smaller k frame, I would think they would be just as comfortable as any other grips.Installation of the grips was straight forward. If you have even a slight mechanical leaning, it should be no problem. Except for the gaps mentioned earlier, the grips look great. The wood appears to be good quality with straight grain structure. The finish is not too glossy, more of a satin finish that doesn't slide around in the hand too much.Overall, I think the grips are worth it, at least on my x frame. The wood is a great improvement cosmetically over the stock rubber grips, and the slightly increased felt recoil may be an added bonus if you are an odd one like me. The fit isn't perfect, it doesn't effect the performance of the pistol and still is a big improvement over the stock grips visually.

I have converted most of my revolvers to Hogue Monogrips. As I read the reviews on this item, I was discouraged by the number of reviews stating they were having fit issues. Nonetheless, I ordered a set for my S&W 686 plus. They fit like a dream! Last time I shot this gun (factory grips) I scored 95% hits in center mass at 50 feet using a 12 x 18 silhouette target. Repeat after istalling the Hogue grips, 100% in center mass. Same load as before, 100 rounds each time. Highly recommended!

I like the feel of the Houge synthetic grips on the S@W K frame 617 22 revolver. But I wanted something to not only feel right but to look right too. The Pao Ferro wood grips certainly fill that requirement. The finger grooved grips are the "round butt conversion" which fit the S@W round butt grip extremely tight. And the beautiful darker wood are a nice contrast to the stainless steel framed revolver. I'm very happy with them.

Great grips, was easy to install the instructions self explanatory. The feel of the grips is nice and look great on my 357 revolver. Very happy with this product. Shipped on time and in good condition.

Nice feel to the grip. Looks pretty nice too. The grain of the wood is so straight that it almost looks fake, but overall I like the grip.

I was reluctant to give up my rubber Hogue grip because of it excellent fit and shock absorption qualities. I really wanted the look of wood and was worried the wood wouldn't be as comfortable as the rubber. I was not disappointed with the wood Hogue grip. It fits and feels exactly like the rubber grip. It's a beautiful grip.

These grips fit nicely and install in minutes. It's a great aesthetic upgrade to the gun and the grooves instill more confidence when firing quickly with defense-grade, magnum ammunition. I'd recommend this upgrade to anyone with a K/L-frame revolver.

I had bought a previous set of Pau Ferro wood grips from Amazon and they were very dark compared to these grips. I was very happy with those. In addition the previous grips fit my revolver (S&W 686) like a glove. These are way too light and they do not fit very well at all. In places there is at least a 1/4 inch gap between the back strap and the grips.
