Q: I ordered this and it's great for team meetings but I need a stand for it. Any suggestions?

We hung ours on the wall so that won't help you. A stand would have to be fairly tall so might too large or unstable for what I think you want it for. My suggestion would be to cradle it in a horizontal box using cords to hang it from the ends of the box. You would have to drill holes on the bottom side but it should give the same result. Hope this helps.

Q: What to do you use to hit it?

I giggled because the picture hadn't loaded. I was left to think, "hit WHAT???" It was a gift but _I_ would use a pencil with a separate eraser. You remember those BIG pink, pointy erasers, don't you? I think it came with a striker. I hope this helps. "It came with a clanger or a large eraser tipped pencil." My friend mentioned that one of her kids mistakenly took the clanger to college. I think she got it back.

Q: Is this loud? I'm thinking of using it as an attention getter with my group of youth.

The harder you hit it the louder it is. You can also use something harder (like a wooden drunstick) to increase the volume.We used it for a community theater stage production and everybody heard it.

Q: Does the 7" have a hanging rope connected to it to hang it? In the photo it is not featured

It has been a while since we bought ours. I do not recall it coming with a rope. We used clothes line cord in our case to adjust to the hook we used to hang it from. The gong is nice looking and has been a conversation piece.
