So Phresh Odor-Lock Crystal Cat Litter 30 lbs.

This litter works really well. It’s hard to find a litter that works equally for pee and poop smell. This litter does! It barely tracks out of the box. I will say it’s a little bit dusty when pouring out of bag and scooping out the waste. It took a couple days to get to me, but the price for the lbs it excellent!

I was a constant customer for Fresh Step Premium crystal litter and all of the sudden it became impossible to find or you had to pay INSANE prices. I came across this litter and after reading some reviews decided to give it a try. It is quite dusty when you pour it in the box however there is no smell to it or the cat waste while using it. This is getting a 4 star rating for the following:a. Not dust free or minimal dust (pouring or cleaning it out of the box)b. there are very sharp pieces of clay or plaster or something in the litter. When I pour fresh litter in the box I have to take time to pick out these super sharp shards of material.

After starting to use crystal cat litter, I've gone through many different brands, types and price ranges, but I always come back to So Phresh. I still find that this has the best odor reduction/minimization and best longevity. I have one cat, and I usually only have to change her litter once a month. Most people don't even realize I have a cat until they see her. I don't recall how long the entire bag lasted me last time, but I think it was well over 8 months.Other brands I found do not reduce odor as much and were all really dusty, which was terrible for my allergies. This one did have some dust, but very minimal when compared to other brands. I did read some reviews where people say that the crystals are too large. They are larger than other brands for sure (see attached photo), although they look smaller than I remember, so maybe they have reduced the size a little? My cat doesn't mind the size, but if you find that your cat is picky with their feet and the feeling of bigger litter, that may be something to consider. I bought this in store the first time, so I bought the scoop that goes with this, which is made to scoop bigger crystals. It might not be as compatible with the standard (smaller) scoops.Lastly, I know a lot of people like to scoop the poop away and then mix the entire litter, but I found that reduced the life span of the crystal litter and increased the odor for me. Instead, I usually just scoop away the poop and try to scoop around the soiled areas. I will shake the pan to settle the crystals, but that's it. Of course, this might not work for everyone, especially people with multiple cats.

This crystal litter is great if you are looking for a cheaper option for crystal litter because you intend to change it out more frequently. We have a pet rabbit and we completely change out her litter twice a week. Crystal litter was the only way we were able to control the strong odor of the rabbit urine in the house. For our 3 cats, I prefer scoop free brand crystal litter over So Phresh. With So Phresh, 3 cats overwhelmed the crystal and it started smelling prior to the end of the week compared with Scoop Free brand, smaller crystal size, 8 lbs of crystals lasts one whole week. That said, pound for pound, this litter is half the cost so if you have the time to change litter frequently, or have fewer animals-to-litter ratio, this might be ideal for you.The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I prefer a competitor brand of crystal litter for our cats. The price per pound (half that of my preferred competitor) makes it optimal for our pet rabbit.

Oder control muc much better than clay based. 4 because it has a lot of dust when pooring.

I have tried this litter a few times and each time the dust is powerful...it's ok for the smell but not if you have 4 cats. Even cleaning it 2x a day there's still a heavy pee smell. Sorry, SoPhresh I really wanted to like your litter :-(

This litter works quite well - when you DON'T get a bag that is seemingly 10% useless dust, which seems to be happening more often.The price has risen ridiculously in the last year, also. To the point where it now gets a 1-star value rating.~$2 a pound for CAT LITTER is indefensible, no matter how good it is. It is CAT LITTER!I will probably be switching brands before ordering again, unless the price returns to something reasonable.

Keeps the orders where they should be; out of the room!!
