Schwinn Trike review - read this one
I want to share as much info as I can here, this is a great trike. Let me try to touch base with most of the questions and other reviewers comments.First off, the product does day it's for 28" to 38" in height or something like that, my daughter is 31" and can't even pedal a full rotation with the seat all the way forward. So if you are worried about this trike being too small, worry no more, it's fine. It should be good to 40" or more.Second, the trike is all metal, except for the seat (plastic) and the platform (wood). This is awesome for me, though some may not like it. The tires actually inflate with air, again I like this, others may not.On that same note, several reviewers commented that their child has a hard time pedaling this because it's heavy, I have to say this is a matter of opinion but I disagree. It's not THAT heavy, in addition, this is based more on the rolling resistance anyway. These trikes sit in storage for some time before you buy it, when you get it, air up the tires, duh. The tires on my trike were practically flat, once aired up this thing rolled as easy as an expensive adult road bike. Now, let me try to review this thing in some sort of order. The good:All metal constructionAdjustable seatreal tires, real wheels, etcIt just looks sweet, metal fenders, cool graphics. The bad:The graphics are stickers, blech. The chrome fenders are just chrome plated so yes this trike will rust of left outside, you can't put it in your garage though? Seems like a no-brainer to me.The child height recommendation on the box is way off, don't even bother fretting over that and just pick this up, you won't regret it.

Overall, exceptional quality.
Purchased for my niece's 2nd birthday. She definitely had some growing to do but this trike is the cutest thing ever. We were actually able to add pedal block extenders and she was able to reach the pedals perfectly around 2.5 years old! The trike assembled easily and is exceptionally sturdy and well made. My neice loves the pink color and there are beautiful details throughout. Definitely top of the line trike between the real painted metal and there's even real wood on the back of the trike so another kid can join along in the fun. My only recommendation after having owned this trike for over 2 years now is that you should store it in your garage when not in use and avoid leaving it outside. I say this because the wood panel on the back quickly lightened and weathered from being left outside inbetween uses and that's with storing it in a garage over winter. The awesome thing was this trike is the ability for it to grow with your child by moving the seat to fit your little one. Overall, very impressive trike, just watch out for weathering!

Decent Tricycle....But...
Bought this tricycle for our 3 yr. old granddaughter. Good design, low center of gravity, pneumatic rubber tires and hopefully a sturdy construction. Am disappointed at Schwinn's quality control. Realize the bike is actually manufactured by PacificCycle but it has the Schwinn name all over so they are ultimately responsible for the product. The bike came with flat tires (not a big problem) but none of the valve stems had caps, the decals were very sloppily applied, the front wheel fork has a very lose fit in the frame and a number of pre-assembled bolts/screws needed additional tightening. Would still recommend the tricycle, let's hope the durability is there.

Best Tike Ever
Bought this for our granddaughter for her second birthday and she absolutely loves it! She rides this thing all the time and will not let anyone even touch it.Still workings to get the pedal thing down but she is getting it. This trike is built very well and should last for many many years. Everyone raves about it and asks where it camefrom..AMAZON OF COURSE. The retro "50's" look is wonderful. Ours came undamaged, no dents, dings or flat tires. Everyone should check the contents at deliverybefore signing for any package, those who do not should not complain. This was easy to assemble, took only 15 minutes, talk'n like 4-5 parts with a wrench and screw driver. Our daughter takes very good care of this, kept in dry well taken care of garage just like a car. This thing is metal, real pneumatic rubber tires and wood (except seat) and will rust/rot if left outside and uncared for.Would highly recommend this to someone looking for a quality tricycle, you get what you pay for an this is well worth the price and Amazon had it for #20 less than another store. Our son just had there first child and have already requested one for his 2 year birthday!UPDATE May 2013Still in use and waiting for use by 2nd granddaughter. Chrome does get rust on it but a little chrome polish and it looks like new.Chrome rusts...nothing will change that, this is garage kept and gets moisture.Still a great trike and recommend.

Such a Quality Bike
We loved this for my 3-year-old and purchased it for a bit more money than the alternatives so that we could pass it down to her little sister, knowing that it will last. Beautiful design. The wheels are great for riding on the road or different terrain at the park etc.
