I’ve bought the 2 cup version of these for years, but noticed they weren’t as strong as they once were for the past couple of years….you couldn’t really get 2 cups out of one bag any more. Then, due to availability issues I had to buy the one cup teabags and lo and behold, they appear to be one and the sane. The photo shows the “2 cup” bag in the left and the “1 cup” teabag on the right. Judge for yourself any noticeable “real” difference….

was annoyed when it didnt arrive as scheduled. you know when the eta just vanishes from the tracking, grrrr...but its here now. i used to drink birchall great rift but had gone over to dorset tea & kinda forgotten about birchall, until a brew in a cafe reminded me how good it is. but that was great rift and the bulk buy isnt, so i was worried that id have 1000+ teabags i dont like (does anyone ever count them?). i neednt have worried. its a great brew. its not strong enough for a pot, but it does make a very decent cuppa. Will keep me going for a bit 😀

I usually get these t bags direct from Burchells but thought it would be more straightforward from Amazon. I think they are the same price but I didn’t realise when I ordered them, that I usually order the 2 cup bags so these are a little bit weaker than what I’m used to.

I’ve been a fan of Birchall Great Rift since 2020 when pandemic hit and all that kept me sane was a good cuppa and pain au chocolat from the cafe next to my work. I wanted to try this as it’s such good value for money but I worried the taste difference would be very significant…. And it is no Great Rift but still good taste. Great Rift is such a smooth taste with no bitter aftertaste and the regular English Breakfast does taste a little more bitter but still makes a great cuppa. Massive bag that would last me just under a year (I drink 4-5 mugs a day).

Bought these after a trial bag from a food store. Can not go back to another tea bag now. Such a smooth taste, we use one bag in a teapot for two of us.
