Musical Writing and Loving Message
If there were ever a book that taught children self-love and embracing how special, magical and intentionally made they are with their kinky/curly/nappy hair it is definitely THIS book. I wish I'd had books like this when I was growing up.They love it when I read this book out loud because you cant help but get swept up in the musical writing. Story-time is so energetic and fun with the call and response nature of this book.It's just as healing/affirming and fun for me as the adult reading as it is for them laughing and chiming in!

My little one loves it
I am trying to make sure that my Little one has books that help us show her how to be proud of who she is and what she looks like. The story is a little advanced for her right now (she is two) but she loves looking at the pretty girl in the book and her pretty hair.

Nappy Hair
This book was purchased for the classroom. It is difficult to read and to understand. The message is sweet, but it is delivered in a very confusing way.
