Cast Net
Net is a good quality. I used it this past weekend and it was very productive in catching bait.

Best 1/4" mesh net I've ever owned.
1/4" mesh is great for smaller bait. I put this net through rocks and trees and snags. I've patched it a few times and it is still holding up for 3 years now.

Best net I own
I have had many cast nets over the years. Betts are superior to most other cast nets I have owned. Opens easy when thrown. Nice weights on bottom of net. Easy to handle. Highly recommend,

Excellent
I use this net for catching shad and shiner minnows for bait (1.5 - 9 inches long), usually about 6 ft deep or less. I like it because even the smaller minnows' gills do not usually get hung up in the 1/4 inch mesh (MUCH better in this regard than a 3/8 inch mesh). The 4 ft radius is much easier to throw than larger nets, and more than adequate for my needs. It drops through the water a bit more slowly than a 3/8 inch mesh, and this might be a negative for extremely clear water (not sure) but in water visibility of less than 3 ft it works just great. The net is of good quality for the money and opens well on throws.

I bought this to learn how to throw and it was perfect to learn on
I just wanted to learn how to throw a cast net because sometimes on the boat we pass rediculous schools of bunker and this is perfect for that. It also has nice, fine holes so its a decent spearing net as well. I was able to learn how to throw this net in 5 minutes by watching a youtube video or two and taking some practice throws on my front lawn. The net is well made and the box is a nice place to store the net. It easily fits back inside. I can throw this net wide open every time and throwing it a few times made throwing my friends 7' net a little easier. But his net is WAYYY harder to throw. This one is easy.
